Bonnie Lane, Owner and President

Owner and President of JDL General Contracting, Bonnie Lane is a long-time veteran of the construction industry. Having started in 1977 as a partner with her husband in the construction business, she has deep knowledge of what it takes to be successful in the field.


The business and industry skills acquired over the years have honed Bonnie's extensive skill with people and recognizing what ideal end-results need to look like for any given project. 

Tom McClain, General Manager

A long-time veteran of the industry, Tom brings a wealth of experience in the industry having started with his first construction job at the age of 14. Being involved in construction most of his life has given Tom a deep understanding of all facets of the industry.


From the beginning, Tom developed a keen sense for quality and an eye for detail. By the time he was 17 years old, Tom was already carrying a journeyman card as an electrician. Over the years, he continued to learn the trade, gaining hands-on concrete, mechanical and plumbing experience in addition to his electrical knowledge. Originally from Iowa, Tom came to Oregon in 1989. Working his way through the ranks at RNS Consulting, he was later recruited by EF&A Funding (acquired by ARES Commercial Real Estate Corp.) to serve as the in-house building engineer for the northern and east coast states. During his tenure, he developed a philosophy for treating each investment as if it were his own money being spent – a philosophy that has endured over the years.


In 2015, when JDL General Contracting was formed, Tom led the efforts to bring the business to fruition. Today, JDL proudly serves clients across the Pacific Northwest under the culture and leadership that Tom has created.   

Rich Revfrem, Sr. Estimator/Project Manager

Rich is well-known within the construction industry as an exceptional estimator and project manager. He has more than 30 years’ industry experience and has served as an estimator and project manager across the Portland metropolitan area for most of his career.


Prior to joining JDL General Contracting, Rich was with Bartel Contracting as an estimator and project manager for the large commercial sector. He has worked in a similar capacity for RSV Building Solutions, Yorke & Curtis, Robertson & Olson Construction, and SD Deacon. Over the years, Rich has been responsible for managing numerous projects of all sizes - from the $10M Wood Village Town Center to projects as large as $500M. He has also been responsible for estimation on numerous large contracts during his career.


Rich is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and received his B.A. in Construction Management at the University of Washington Seattle. As a hands-on, detail-oriented individual, Rich makes it a priority to fully understand all facets of each project to ensure he is able to deliver outstanding results for every job.

Deanna Shepard, Office Manager

Deanna brings rich experience in office management and bookkeeping, having worked for large corporations and small family companies, as well as owning several small businesses.  She has specialized in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and her experience in manufacturing, retail, and healthcare industries brings a broad and diverse perspective to JDL.


A lifelong resident of the Portland metropolitan area, Deanna enjoys all the Pacific Northwest has to offer including kayaking, running, and snow skiing.
